Terms of Service

These Terms are the legal agreement between you and Tarbiya AI.

They explain how you may use our Services, how subscriptions work, your responsibilities as a user, and our responsibilities in providing the Services.

If there is any difference between this summary and the legal Terms below, the legal Terms control.

By creating an account, subscribing, or interacting with any part of Tarbiya AI, you confirm that:

• You have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
• You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law.
• Your use of the Services complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

Tarbiya AI is designed strictly for adults.

• Adults Only: Our Services are intended exclusively for parents, guardians, caregivers, educators, and other adults aged 18 or older (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction).
• No Children Accounts: Children are not permitted to register, create accounts, or independently use Tarbiya AI. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
• Parental Responsibility: If you use Tarbiya AI to seek guidance regarding a child in your care, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have full authorization from a parent or legal guardian to seek such guidance.

What Tarbiya AI Is

Tarbiya AI is an AI-powered parenting support platform. Its mission is to support parents and caregivers by providing evidence-based child development guidance, alongside optional guidance informed by Islamic ethics and values for users who choose that option. Our Services are designed to help parents reflect, gain confidence, and navigate everyday parenting moments.

What Tarbiya AI Is Not

Tarbiya AI is not a substitute for human judgment, professional advice, or institutional support. Specifically, Tarbiya AI does not provide:

• Medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or physical health treatment.
• Mental health therapy, psychological counseling, or psychiatric intervention.
• Formal educational evaluations or licensed teaching services.
• Legal advice, family law representation, or statutory safeguarding intervention.
• Binding religious rulings, fatwas, or formal theological decrees.
• Emergency or crisis intervention services.

Tarbiya AI is built to support—not replace—human relationships, parental decision-making, and licensed professionals.

Registration & Credentials

To access certain features of Tarbiya AI, you must register for an account using a valid email address and secure authentication credentials managed through Firebase Authentication. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information updated.

Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You agree not to share your password or account access with any third party. You must notify us immediately at support@tarbiyaai.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to or breach of your account. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tarbiya AI is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.

Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account at any time. You can initiate account deletion directly within the App settings or by sending a written request to privacy@tarbiyaai.com. Upon account deletion, your account details, active conversation history, and profile preferences will be permanently deleted or anonymized in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Free Access & Paid Subscriptions

Tarbiya AI may offer a combination of free features and paid subscription tiers ("Paid Subscriptions"). Details regarding available features, pricing, and billing intervals are presented within the App prior to purchase.

Billing via Apple App Store and Google Play

All subscription transactions, billing processing, and payment collections are managed directly by the platform operator through which you downloaded the App:

We do not collect, store, or process your credit card, debit card, or bank account information directly.

Automatic Renewal

Paid Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (e.g., monthly or annually) unless you cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, in accordance with Apple's or Google's renewal terms.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Paid Subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings or Google Play account settings. Cancellation stops future auto-renewal charges. You will retain access to subscriber features until the end of your current paid billing period.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled directly by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies:

• For iOS/Apple purchases, request refunds through Apple's Report a Problem page.
• For Android/Google Play purchases, request refunds through Google Play Help.

Except where required by applicable consumer protection laws, Tarbiya AI does not issue direct refunds for app store subscription fees.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated to you in advance through in-app notices, email, or platform notifications. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following the date of notice. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

We expect all users to interact with Tarbiya AI responsibly and respectfully.

You agree not to:

• Misuse AI Services: Use the App to generate, prompt, or transmit material that promotes self-harm, violence, abuse, illegal acts, discrimination, or hate speech.
• Reverse Engineer: Copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying algorithms of the App, backend infrastructure, or AI systems.
• Security Interference: Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, API rate limits, backend proxies, or authentication mechanisms.
• Automated Extraction: Use scrapers, bots, spiders, or automated scripts to collect information from our Services or systematically generate responses.
• Impersonation: Impersonate any person, entity, or legal representative, or falsely state your affiliation with any person or organization.
• Malicious Software: Upload or transmit viruses, malware, trojans, or code designed to disrupt or limit system performance.
• Commercial Exploitation: Sell, resell, rent, lease, or commercially exploit access to Tarbiya AI without our prior written authorization.
• Violation of Law: Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international regulation.

Tarbiya AI Ownership

Tarbiya AI and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all software, source code, user interfaces, branding, trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, text, graphics, and proprietary algorithms (collectively, "Tarbiya IP"). Except for the limited license granted below, nothing in these Terms gives you any right to use Tarbiya IP without our express written permission.

User Content & Output Rights

• Your Inputs: You retain ownership of the original text, prompts, and contextual details you submit to the Service ("User Content").
• AI Output: As between you and Tarbiya AI, and to the extent permitted by applicable law and third-party AI provider terms, you own the AI responses generated for you based on your prompts ("Output").
• License to Provide Services: You grant Tarbiya AI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, revocable license to process, store, host, and transmit your User Content and Output solely to deliver, secure, maintain, and support the Services, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
• No Sale of Content: We do not sell your User Content or conversation history to third parties. Prompts submitted through our enterprise API pipeline are not used by third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) to train public models.

Your privacy is central to our mission. Our collection, use, and protection of personal data—including how AI conversation prompts are processed and stored—are governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Tarbiya AI, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and understood our Privacy Policy.

• Operational Availability: We strive to keep Tarbiya AI available and reliable. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously accessible service. The Services may be subject to temporary downtime due to planned maintenance, system upgrades, server load, or emergency repairs.
• App Updates: We may periodically issue updates, feature enhancements, or bug fixes for the App. Some updates may be required to continue using the Services. You are responsible for maintaining updated app software on your device.
• Modifications: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or part of the Services at any time, with or without prior notice, without liability to you.

• Termination by You: You may stop using the Services or delete your account at any time.
• Suspension or Termination by Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to the Services immediately, with or without prior notice, to the extent permitted by applicable law, if:
  • You breach any material provision of these Terms.
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • We are required to do so by applicable law, court order, or regulatory demand.
  • Continued provision of the Service presents a security or operational risk.
• Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to access and use the Services will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tarbiya AI, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your breach of these Terms.
• Your misuse of the Services or AI responses.
• Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

This indemnification obligation applies to intentional or negligent misuse and does not restrict your rights as a consumer under mandatory local law.

Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, without giving effect to any conflict of law principles.

Amicable Resolution

In the event of any disagreement or dispute, you and Tarbiya AI agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting legal@tarbiyaai.com and describing the issue in detail. We will work in good faith to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

Formal Dispute Resolution

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be submitted to and finally resolved by the competent courts of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

Consumer Protection Exception

If you are a consumer residing in a jurisdiction that mandates local governing law or local consumer forum rights (such as the European Union, United Kingdom, or Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection afforded to you by mandatory provisions of your local consumer protection laws.

We may modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, operational requirements, app store guidelines, or applicable legal obligations.

When material changes are made, we will notify you at least 30 days before they become effective by:

• Displaying a prominent notice within the App.
• Sending an email to the address registered to your account.
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms.

Your continued use of Tarbiya AI after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Services and delete your account before the effective date.

Entire Agreement and Order of Precedence

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, govern the relationship between you and Tarbiya AI and constitute the entire agreement regarding the Services, superseding all prior agreements or understandings. In the event of any direct conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy or Cookie Policy concerning core legal rules governing service access, these Terms shall control to the extent of such conflict, unless mandatory applicable privacy laws dictate otherwise.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Tarbiya AI may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets.
